Makoto is the brightest and probably most durable string led lightsaber around.
It is best for duelling. However Makoto hilts are somewhat normal looking.

If you wanna go for great looking hilts you can try ALW (http://www.advanced-light.com/) or JQ Sabers (http://www.jqsabers.com/)

Genesis sabers (http://genesiscustomsabers.com/) also has some awesome hilts.

How much do these cost? And the problem is that they are no collectables like MR

True plastic ones serve that purpose

I placed the Makoto besides my other FX lightsbers, of which I have 5, ( Darth Vader, Yoda, Obi Wan , Count Dukoo and Anakin) for brightness comparison. The Makoto wins hands down and in terms of sound effects, it is also much better.

And yes, only in the hilt's department the it losses out.

Yep. How much does it cost? But problem.is that it loses out as in no demand as a collectable..just some modified light LED sword. Can't call it a Lightsaber.

Anyway depends all on the price. If it is like a third or half of the MR then maybe I would get one. If same.price, no way , I would get another MR. Just cause MR ones stand for.something and are now discontinued and somewhat rare.

Well I do agree that MR is amongst the best sabers of which I have 2 (the Darth Vader and Luke). Which I kept solely for display.

I do have the plastic ones but they are too unrealistic and the sound effects are far inferior
