It's been a while since I actually could find time to sit down, take photos, and write about starwars toys. And well, here I am again with an interesting one.

Jedi Master Yoda.

Based on Stuart Freeborn's ESB sculpt of the original puppet seen in EP V, the sculptor, Yamashita Shinichi has captured that likeness and brought down to 1/6 scale with a 5" tall figure.

Let's take a look at the packaging...

Like all medicom starwars products, the packaging has that minimalist yet premium look, where it beckons to the unwary sw collector that the real deal is waiting within.

And flipping open the front cover...

{Free me, you will} and I did.

He's quite snug within the clamshell trays, and the accessories did not fall out either. A nice thing was that there wasn't any clear tape that held the trays together.

Let's take a look at the accessories...

They are his gimer stick(cane), flashlight, and MRE's breadstick.

Already on Yoda, is another accessory that's not mentioned on the packaging.

The Blissl flute.

And the 4 views of yoda,

A close up...

From the photos, the clothes on the jedi master settles quite like the 1:1 scale version, unlike other 1/6 scale figures, which requires some work on the clothes to make them more natural-looking.

Image
Despite being a VCD, he's quite scaled to 1/6 and should have been a RAH instead(As per the above thumbnail). Though it's also possible that he's not, due to the limited articulation on him.

Articulation on him is as follows,
• Ball jointed neck.
• swivel & ball-jointed wrists.

Anyway, despite the price he commands in the secondary market, he's quite a nice addition to any 1/6 starwars collection.

A parting shot

Yoda: "Hmm... very nice. More of this, have you?"
