Description:

* Become a LEGO Jedi Master!
* Comprehensive visual guide to the LEGO Star Wars universe.

* Learn about figures, accessories, vehicles, weapons, and more!

LEGO and Star Wars, two of the world's most recognized and successful franchises, have been collaborating since the 1998 release of the first LEGO Star Wars mini figures. DK Publishing joins the party with the exquisitely photographed and minutely annotated Visual Dictionary… complete with an exclusive Luke Skywalker mini figure! It's a comprehensive visual guide to the LEGO Star Wars universe. 96 pages.

In true DK style, the Visual Dictionary elucidates, illuminates, and excites even the most discerning LEGO, Star Wars, and mini figure fans around the world. Darth Vader, Boba Fett, Yoda, Luke Skywalker, and more are brought to life with dozens of little-known facts and hundreds of photos, as are accessories, vehicles, weapons, and even the Death Star. Learn about the history, manufacture, and construction of the mini figures of the Star Wars universe, and come away a LEGO Jedi Master!
Here's the front and back views of the book.

Something different this time, and yes, it's a book review. Personally, as a starwars vehicle collector, I totally dig DK's range of incredible cross sections series(do own the complete collection of all 5 books), though I rarely venture nor bought their visual dictionaries. This time round, I did.

Yes, it's due to the exclusive Luke minifig, and here's more pics of me releasing him from his plastic prison.

It's rather neat, the way the minifig was packaged with the book. You won't even notice it, unless you look really closely.

The book is quite comprehensive, containing all the sets until even the Tantive IV (minifig 2009 version). And there's a total of 4 chapters, covering the movies, clone wars, specialist sets, and last but not least, fan creations and how all these sets came into being.

Image
The timeline shows all sets released for that particular year, and it's akin to the catalogs being compiled.

Inside, there's snippets of descriptions for each vehicle or figure, and they also show the revised sets of the same vehicle or figure that came after it.

The specialist sets were an eyeful... just look at all those minis!!!

Of course, the best part of the book were the interview with the lego starwars design team.

And not forgetting those awesome fan-made projects!!!

Mind-BLOWING!!!

All in all, this is quite a nice read. And the new minifig just sweetens the deal further.

Thanks for looking.
