Produced by the Corporate Alliance, the Persuader-class tank droid is a fully automated combat droid, often used by the Separatist forces for short-range reconnaissance. With its moderate size and firepower, the tank droid is generally used as a complement to a larger assault force, evaluating enemy strength and attacking their front line forces. Their two outrigger treads can be fitted with weapons to increase their assault capability. Tank droids are deployed on various worlds during the Clone Wars, including Geonosis, Kashyyyk and Christophsis.

The tank droid was available in limited quantities back in late 2009 when it was released. Occupying the shelves that time was the Clone Turbo Tank, Republic Fighter Tank and plenty of Jedi starfighters. This release has adopted the more animated look from the clone wars series rather than from EPIII:ROTS. If hasbro decides to retool this vehicle, I hope they would consider the more realistic version.

Valentin, the version you showing is the 2009 or the new version? I haven't seen the new version yet but your pictures shows the same version as the one I bought in 2009 or 2010? I didn't notice that this was more on the animated look. Was happy they released this droid.

As mentioned, this is a droid. Don't know why Hasbro adopted the pilot cock pit for Battle Droid. Same they did it for the recent Droid Gunship vehicle.

It's the 2009 one, and so far, it's the only version released. The lego versions of it has both the realistic one and the animated one. The main difference would be the optical sensors on the droid.

And yes, hasbro has been adding in "pilot stations / gunner stations" in large scaled droid mainly for more playability features, despite that it is not realistically real.
