Unboxing...Cloud cars maintain order in the skies of Cloud City above Bespin. These atmospheric vehicles have twin pods and are armed with laser cannons. Using ion and repulsorlift engines, cloud cars can achieve impressive speed as they cruise above the mining colony. When the Millennium Falcon arrives at the floating city to escape Imperial pursuers, two cloud cars immediately flank the ship and keep a close watch on it until permission is granted for the Falcon to land.
Features:
• Separates into 2 vehicles
• Storage chambers
• Hidden launchers fire missiles!
• Retractable landing gear
• Cockpits open and figures fit inside.
Reveals the diorama background,
The instruction leaflet,
And the vehicle itself,
All assembled...
Since these's no figure pack-in, will be using 2 cloud city pilots from the vintage collection(launched on the same day) to demonstrate some of the features.
Here's the 6 views of the craft on the ground.
Lift off?
Opps... forgot the pilots.
As per the schematic on the cloud car, everything looks as it should,
Opening up the engine covers(noted on the box as storage compartments... )
The interior is very cool with the engine details.
The cockpit,
No stickers, and the seat, controls, and joystick are sculpted very realistically.
Pre-flight check...
And we are good to go for the next part of the review,
One of the unique play features for the vehicle is the separation feature,
Views of it...
While it's not that true to the movie, this does allow for more play value. Of course, there's some balance issues on the single pods after separation.
A re-enactment...
And a random shot.
All in all, the cloud car is not as iconic as others nor does it have as much screen time as the rest of the vehicles in the Star Wars movies. Still, it is definitely one of the most-get vehicles since it's either this, or the vintage one from back in 1980s. And this is definitely far cheaper.
Thanks for reading.
