Star Wars card errors, repaints, variants, figures

Post by e3lipse » Thu Sep 01, 2005 9:29 pm

Long have we wondered, error cards , bubbles, figures. Are they done intentionally or by accident and poor QC?

Take this for example

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 01609&rd=1

It might be a hoax (a fan made it himself and sold it)
but given the high ratings of the seller, i doubt it is.

Then comes missing lightsabers, weapons and stuffs
or for older series, bubble turned wrong way

Are all this done intentionally ? :O
After all these years, I still love Clones

there are some genuine errors/variants out there but I still don't understand why people collect figs with errors. to me its a waste of money.

I don't go all out to hunt down error versions, but when my order of the Kotobukiya EP3 Vader from my local toyshop, it turned out to be the error version. So I ordered another unit of the corrected version, being a completist and all...

Here's a comparison montage I put together becasue so many people asked me about the difference between the two...

Oh BTW the one with the dented box on the left is not mine. I borrowed that from another shop to take this pic before mine arrived.
