Good buys in Australia!

Post by kakachi » Mon Dec 08, 2008 6:26 pm

Just came back from Perth and hauled a Millennium Falcon and the AT-TE for good prices. Paid A$149 for the falcon and A$99 for the AT-TE. Benefits of having a weak Australian dollar I guess!
Assembled both today and must say they're awesome!

Hi everyone I'm Cal. I'm a gen x-er and 've lusted after the big SW vehicles like the AT-AT (missed out on the endor AT-ATs) since I was little. Not really a hardcore collector although I have 2 x Darth Maul Force FX sabers (1 to keep and 1 to duel with) and some ultrasabers which I use to duel with my boys, and I've got a couple of kotobukiya figures (like my fav Bobba Fett, Grievous, Darth Maul....I like the villains). Now have added the Falcon and AT-TE and running out of space liao!

Well I visited Australia with my family (6 altogether) so we could check in 24 pcs of luggage and I'm PPS with SQ so it worked out to 240kg baggage allowance so I had no probs with space and decided to lug the 2 pcs back. My credit card statement just arrived and the exchange rate is A$1=S$1.02.

Next target is republic gunship from toys r us. Is it a good buy at $79.90?

There were a couple of shops at China Square Central selling it for $70. You can pop by to check if they still have stock.
If you buy it from Toys R Us, make sure they give you the Free Clone Wars Battle Droid.

K-mart recently had a big sale on the star wars stuff. My brother got me the endor AT-AT for $49.99. An absolute bargain.

He got the remote control R2D2 for himself at $99.
