SABRE OR SABER?

Post by Jar » Fri Feb 17, 2006 6:15 pm

Why is it SABER and not SABRE in LIGHTSABER? That is the question my 8 year old nephew ask me about SW comics when he compares his $6.90 Lightsabre which he bought from the store down the block.

:? :? :? :? :?

Sabre is the British spelling, while Saber is the American spelling...

Similar for words like Theatre, Centre, Metre...
