Unfortunately the talk was poorly attended.

After the Tampines event, perhaps in the future we can consider holding joint events in future, preferably in the same area so we can make as much noise as possible together.

You've got my support for that suggestion! A battle between Borgs and Stormtroopers, perhaps?

I guess you are Sith rather than Jedi, since you rather choose to do something violent.
:x

I tend to believe in non violence, peace, reconciliation, cooperation,....

If you rather fight, sad....

There would be plenty of Jedis in this forum for you to blast.

Have some Jedis done something bad to you?

... aw come on guys. enuf with the sw vs st hostilities.
they were nice guys seriously.

i've made my peace with the demons of anti-trekkie in me. during the event, the sw gang were the onli ones who seemed to show hostilities towards the trekkies, while they just grinned and beared with it...

pretty one-sided rivalary. which means all this sw vs st thing is overrated.. come on folks.. peace..

Huh? What SW vs ST hostilities... I was explaining the significance of my nick... It's SW Imperial vs SW Rebel hostilities...

Actually I was just joking with GetzJedi and do not consider anything beyond that.

I agree with Faiz. I am a Star Wars fan too. That is why I decide to join this forum and possibly join you guys in your future activities. Just because I like Star Trek too, does that make me a possible target? I hope not. If you have a friend who do not share identical interests with you, would you "target" this person? I hope not.

This "Star Trek fans vs Star Wars fans" hostilities arises from America or Europe. There is no reason that in Singapore, we must import such negative values.

We should value each other's differences.

hahha...reminds me of the days when I was in ACJC and we were like always against RJC....:P

maybe because we always meet each other in Water Polo and Rugby.

I am all for friendly rivalries as long as there is no personal attack (verbal kind) or name calling.

After all, we do not want the outings/events get too boring, do we?
:D

True , true ..... I'm sure GetzJedi was just joking too . :)

Actually, I think that the idea of Star Wars and Star Trek fans uniting to do events in Singapore is great , maybe even some charity event , and it can only benefit both groups of fans.

When I did the report on Space Month at the Tampines Regional library , I made sure to include our friends from Star Trek prominently . I had a very, very nice discussion with them about Star Trek and Star Wars over at their table , and I was so thrilled when they did the salute for the photo taking. That was very cool !

I look forward to meeting the Trekkies again.

I really love that nickname, Trekkies ..... we don't have such a cool name. Warsies just doesn't cut it !   :D
