That scene of that youngling's startled reaction was the single most powerful scene in the entire film , to me . Did you all notice that although he was startled , the youngling stood his ground ? I thought that was a powerful depiction of the courage of a Jedi , even one so young, even in the face of danger and death .
Kudos to Lucas, derided as he often is as a director, for depicting that scene and its impending tragedy in such a subtle but powerful manner .
