I used to collect like every single thing that I like - now I'm into TPBs of series that I like only. None of that single issue chase for me anymore - EXCEPT all star Superman - which is quite good.

I go to Serene Center

same as danchia when he was a JC student. Guess guess... shhhh! Don't you all say out loud. ok?

YES!!!! Today I spent $12 on Star Wars Republic #70 and #80. ($6 each at Absoulte comics, worth a lot, i paid for the amazing artworks, impressive!)
Wah surprisingly the backpage of these magazines i bought have aeon flux adverts, drool...

The magazines are cool, and a bit touching (i think gals may cry if they understand the story behind Order 66), suddenly i felt like converting from sith to jedi for the time being... sobs...poor jedi!

I agree that the shop sells rather expensive comics since I drop in at least once a week. It not convenient for me to go elsewhere since I work at Suntec and I walk over to Bugis to take MRT. I have compared the prices to the nearby Kinokuniya.

My own experiences have been different. I find the staff at the shop friendly when you ask them questions, although they are unlikely to approach you. This is the way I prefer it. Recently I bought 2 X-files book or booklet or a compilation of X-files comics. I ask for Book 3 and they actually searched the shelves. Later I checked the internet and found that it was not out yet although it was suppose to be out around Oct 2005. Then they ask me if I want BSG comics. Of course, again they searched and could not find any and apologises. Apparently it had been sold.

I had also bought DC's Identity Crisis a few weeks back at Kino as the comic shop is more expensive.

Yup, Absolute Comics are known for their high prices. I usually go to Comics Mart for my regular TPBs fix. G&B in Bras Basah also sells their stuffs at a resonable price.

I know an old book store selling comics (all sorts) very very cheap, at $0.50 or $1 too.

It's located at level 1, Roxy Square
(opp. Katong Shopping Centre)

I hope the bookshop still around.
I once bought 200-300 Star Trek comics from the shop in one go!

Hi all, if you are in the area of Katong Shopping Centre, there is one comic shop in KSC itself in B1. Not sure of the unit number or its shop name though.

How's this?

Comics World @ Park Lane (Selegie) Basement 1
G&B at Bras Basah
Comics Mart at Serene Centre,
Absolute Comics at Bugis Junction,
Comics Asylum/Atomix at Orchard MRT
Alaric's at Funan Centre
Comics Mart at Cineleisure and Raffles City,
Comicsnaut at Katong Shopping Centre.

Unlikely to be a complete list
Find, fix, finish
