Screenshotting Problem with Windows Media Player

Not sure how to explain it but this picture below should do the talking.
When i use the normal method of taking screenshots(Prnt Scrn then pasting in microsoft Paint), a blank screen appears instead of the image on the video i am playing.

I tried googling for a solution to the problem but those solutions don't work for me coz i'm using Windows Media Player 11.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem???

My VLC Menu is in Japanese.
How do i change it to English??

Ok i got it to work it english.
I just tried the screenshotting... same problem.
Black screen.

Oh okay cool there's a custom screenshot function in VLC i didn't know lol.

no problem. i use that function frequently to take my screenshots. then just convert it to jpeg using any image editing software.

so u are watching gundam 00? ^^;

Nope lol. I'm just gonna get the pilot suit + helmet and MAYBE a wig...
