which comic adapted movie is a HUGE success?

BB took the movies away from the travesty it was becoming, (or already was) and brought it back to its original mood, as portrayed in the comics. That restored the faith in some of us.

TDK took another step in the right direction by giving us the Joker, this time really throwing the blanket over the moral compass of Gotham. It's basically the same reason why Empire Strikes Back was such a huuuggeee hit when it came out.

Although, that was also due, in no small part, to the fact that Mr Lucas didn't do any directing. *phew*
