To our Star Trek friends.... Our condolences

Post by danchia » Fri Jul 22, 2005 12:52 am

To our dear Star Trek friends on this message board,

Count Dooku told me that James Doohan, who played Scotty, died earlier today ..... what a terrible loss that is to the entire Star Trek community , as well as to Hollywood as a whole.

It's always sad to hear such news. It must feel like the passing away of an old friend.

Our condolences to you all.

Sniff sniff....

We can now see his adventures only in novels, particularly SCE.
Find, fix, finish

I liked what someone on the www.startrek.com.sg forum said.... that when a star goes supernova, it shines even brigher :)

Is it true they are sending his ashes up to space ?

CNN news have confirmed that
http://www.cnn.com/2005/SHOWBIZ/TV/07/2 ... cnn_latest

Extract of the articles:

" Houston-based Space Services Inc., which specializes in space memorials, plans to send a few grams of Doohan's ashes aboard a rocket later this year. The remains, which will be sealed in an aluminum capsule, will eventually burn up when they re-enter Earth's atmosphere."

Condolence to Singapore star trek group and fans....

"Aye captain! Warp speed."

He will be sadly missed. It is like the passing of a generation.

I feel old. Really old.
