Post by Shangyou » Wed Sep 24, 2008 4:41 pm

Did anyone watch "Mamma Mia!" the movie?
I don't know if im weird but i totally love the music!!
I even bought the soundtrack hohoho!!
I felt the movie was rly awesome but sadly i dont have any friends that found the movie nice....
I might be a little old fashioned too coz the songs were from ABBA in the 1980s and i wasnt even born yet hahaz.
Does anyone else other than me love the movie????

I was born in 1986.

To be honest, I think I was born in the wrong era.

I LOVE THE BEATLES.
I LOVE BEE GEES.
I LOVE ABBA.

Beatles is the way to go!!!! wooohoo well honestly from my point of view your era is a better one.. though we did get those cool vintage toys that has better quality than most of the current ones.. well, singapore has more to offer the current generation.. skate parks, motor racing tracks, f1 races etc etc.. in my school days we had to skate/freestyle in public places, pretty damn dangerous for us if we get caught by the cops damaging property.. riding dirt bikes into illegal places for trails which still happens now.. lol.. we didn't have internet like now.. in the old days if u wanted to buy anything from the USA, you had to send a mail order and god knows how long it would take to arrive sometimes it wont even arrive.. and so much more expensive to buy from the states..not forgetting no costumes or no great ones at that time that we have now.. i kinda wish i was born later.. i think those born around my time was pretty tough.. the transition from our parents time to our time.. this current time benefits the younger people. no smoking in many places.. good for the young.. less will start smoking.. i hope.. lolz.. i can't get out of it.. well there will be a day i will. once i get out of working in a club that is.. then on the down side.. the music of this era is a whole lot of crap.. suprisingly.. my parents did say the kind of stuff i listen to is not music.. then again.. i listen to almost everything.. i guess the teenager trash music, alternative/indie wanna be boy bands etc.. i was never into boy bands.. yucks..~

I am an Abba fan but I doubt I will watch the movie.
I was watching something like "The Making of..." on TV and my goosepimples came up when I heard Brosnan sang.
I get the impression that it was a fun movie and as I love Abba songs, I had originally planned to go but after hearing Brosnan sing, I think twice about it.
I went to watch "Abba the Movie" a long time ago.

Beatles and ABBA

Post by Zul » Thu Sep 25, 2008 12:05 pm

Hey I love both The Beatles and ABBA!

Since I was born in 1973, I have heard both bands. This is mostly helped by my siblings' buying the record albums and listening to the turntables squeaking rendition of the songs.

Of course nowadays I bought them on CD and downloaded them on my MP3 player.

As for Mamma Mia The Movie, I heard the staged play is better than the movie. Pierce Brosnan is still cool at his age. What is not cool is his singing and a pruned Meryl Streep HEHEHE.

Ahhhh........those were the 70s........ :P
