Hi all, sharing this info

This coming saturday 9th Dec 2006

The Labrador Christmas Fiesta represented another successful tie-up with Singapore agencies and organisations to bring another socially challenging, educational and good fun to the Singapore landscape, and serve to cap off the Year as the biggest community effort for year ending 2006.

For the Adventurous, join our Mysterious Tunnels cum Fort Batu Berlayer Tours, happening every hour at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm.

Usually the Tunnel Tours cost $8.40/pax, but just for 1 night, it will cost only $2/pax, and on top of that, you will get to visit the unrevealed Fort Batu Berlayar, a British war defense site closed to the Public. But just for you, the gates will be opened just for 1 night.

Proceeds go the Club Rainbow, a childrens' charity.

Hmmm... just a thought, but wouldn't it be an eye-opener and eyebrow-raiser if we were to go there in costume??? LOL! :P

You guys are always welcome! Pity i have to take care of the outpost that day. hehe

if you guys plan on going in a group, be sure to bring video cam and cameras....take shots in the tunnels and at the outpost!
(though the tunnel tours they say no photography or video....im sure they will keep quiet when the guy in charge is shocked by troopers...lol)

I went there some time back under company's outing.

The tunnels are moist, dusty and dark (but got air-con), so if u don't mind dirty ur costumes ...

Inside tunnels strictly no camera or video.

Yup, tunnels are bit dark and dusty....but moisty not really...years of air conditioning, i think the air in there alittle dry now. Hehe

You can take a look at the location through my photos. =)

Yup the tunnels have signs which say no video / photography....im sure they will make exceptions for this day. To strictly enforce the rules will turn many people off....im assure you, im sure that's not on Npark's agenda.

=)

p.s im not insisting u guys turn up...but like me, im just there for fun, i will be stationed at the outpost, just doing what i can since they are raising some funds for Rainbow.

During my company outing, we were told upfront by the park rangers no camera is allowed inside. I believe there must be a reason behind for the restriction imposed by National Park Board (Npark), same as no flash camera is allowed in AoSW, so as not to damage the exhibits further.

Perhaps, visitors in the past were alarmed when they capture ghosts of the past using their camera, hence, in order not to alarm visitors and get bad publicity, photo taking is strictly prohibited?

Despite such rules given, I can assure you there will be one or two clowns acting blur and use flash like there's no tomorrow. I can still remember one brainless dude (older than me!) insisted on flash despite several warnings by the staff at the AOSW.
