why not try mystore.. there are such mobile storage space which u pay less than rental of room and u can safe keep ur collections or anything u need and also ensure privacy..

i have used this storage space before to store large items like furniture when i was waiting to move office and i need to store tonnes of those CD libraries ...and they can store anything

another good thing is that they also provide transport pick up at a cost to pick up ur stuff for storage

hope this helps

Wow thanks! this could come in handy...

but they don't allow people to stay in those places right?

Any idea of the pricing is like? i don't see them putting the price on their website...stumbling block.

Hey sorry to hear about your problem 9.

My advise: sit down and calmly talk it out. I've had very bad domestic disputes before and each time I managed to resolve it by having sincere, calm discussions, or with the help of a mediator.

I hope things get sorted out for you.

There's two options for me now, which is:

1. rent a room on my own, a flat is i can afford it

2. get married and get a home

i wouldnt wanna attempt no.2 at the moment, as i have seen friends not financially stable doing it, and now they are struggling financially becoz of their various commitments.

for the moment i guess, i got to keep my options open by checking how about to get a rental room or unit within my financial means. As unexpectedly i have hit a dry patch career wise.

Put it simply...im pretty 'cornered' at the moment. Thus the need to do my research. :)

Pls don't do that just to get a home ... many couples got lured into HDB subsidy simply by rushing into marriage without truely understanding each others, and ended with very sad separation.

If u and ur gf/bf hav reached the mature stage for long-term commitment, then u shld marry ... not b'cos u just want to own a house and get marry ... it's fundamentally wrong, and will surely lead to disaster.

Aha! Now that explain high divorce rates! Don't rush for marriage. Very very very dangerous!

no worries 9, ya the advice is true and right and coming from a married man like me as advice, don; just marry for the sake of the HDB flat or even for money sake...

Any domestic problem should be handled carefully and no matter what kind of misunderstanding has caused it, is still a family...and for advice on the storage, i do suggest that to put it in a proper storage...rather than the room rental for the following potential concern:

Owner do have keys to the room unless u change the lock of the room which happen in this case is that u cannot change it.

With the kind of collection u are looking for a room stay rather than the whole flat, then i suggest that is wiser to put in a proper commercial storage facility then sleeping with your collection

additionally, if you are moving out bcos of ur galfriend, then commercial facility is more efficient then sharing the space of toys with ur galfriend

hope this help u with ur decision

thks
