But could it be that as the battle progressed, Palpatine got tired after spending so much energy keeping his body from falling of the edge of the window and fighting so many Jedi Masters.
It does say in the Revenge Of the Sith novel that despite the power of the dark side, Dooku still tired heavily after a continued and prolonged Duel with Obi Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. His Age had become a factor in the duel and had also ultimately led to his defeat.
Could this have been similar to Palpatine? From what we know, he kept his lightsaber hidden away behind a statue, showing that he has not been regularly honing his lightsaber skills and stamina in battle.

What do you experts think?
