ARC-170
http://www.starwars.com/databank/starsh ... vie_bg.jpg

Protecting the skies over Coruscant were specialized clone fighter forces flying the latest in starfighter technology. The ARC-170 fighter was a bulky, aggressive ship covered with weapons. Three clone trooper pilots operated this advanced combat craft, with a pilot handling the flight maneuvers, a copilot operating the laser cannons mounted on the ship's wide wings, and a tailgunner operating the dorsal rear-facing cannon. The fighter also carried an astromech droid for onboard repairs.

During the Battle of Coruscant, Squad Seven, led by Clone Commander Odd Ball, provided cover to the Jedi starfighters piloted by Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. It was Odd Ball's duty, and that of his squad, to keep the droid starfighter forces off the tails of the Jedi so that they could complete their mission of rescuing the captive Chancellor Palpatine. Squad Seven suffered many casualties.

ARC-170s were stationed all over the Republic during the Clone Wars, including the aerial campaigns over Cato Neimoidia led by Jedi Master Plo Koon.

Heavily armed and more than capable of surviving and succeeding in battle operations, the ARC-170 (Aggressive ReConnaissance) fighter also functions as a lone recon scout, with extended consumables for five standard days of remote operations. It is one of the few starfighters of this era to carry an onboard class 1.5 hyperdrive engine, with a range of 5,000 light years.

The ship's heavy nose contains sensitive long-range sensors for its snoop missions. Its extendable s-foils radiate heat and serve as a conduit to deflector shield energy. They also help stabilize atmospheric flight, making the ARC-170 an effective aerial fighter as well as a space superiority vessel

The narrow spaceframe flanked by large engines is common in Incom/Subpro designs, and can be seen in PTB-626, NTB-630 and Z-95 starfighter models.

Despite a millennium of peace and complacency, the Republic quickly transformed itself into a formidable war machine when the threats of the Separatists escalated into the Clone Wars. The difference made by a few years was astounding; by channeling enormous resources in the name of security, the Republic developed fleets of immense warships, many with cutting edge designs.

The Republic attack cruiser, or Star Destroyer, gave this new starfleet its considerable teeth. The wedge-shaped warship was not primarily a cargo transport, troop carrier or other replenishment or supply vessel; it was developed and honed for ship-to-ship combat. Its huge armored shape had an aggressive, dagger-like profile, studded with heavy weapons emplacements capable of punching through powerful shields and sturdy armor. From its twin elevated conning towers, the crew of clones and other Republic military officers oversaw the craft's operations.

The front half of the ship's dorsal surface contained a massive flight deck capable of scrambling the latest in Republic starfighters. The huge hangar doors opened to allow ships to land or takeoff from the deck; the vessel also had a smaller docking bay entrance on its ventral surface.

These attack cruisers formed both the backbone and aggressive front of defense around Coruscant during the bold Separatist push to infiltrate the capital. Many destroyers crowded the atmosphere above the city planet, engaging enemy battleships, often at point-blank range. These attack ships also served as command vessels for Jedi Generals during remote operations, such as Yoda's mission to Kashyyyk and Obi-Wan Kenobi's search for General Grievous on Utapau.

Kuat Drive Yards quickly positioned itself as the preeminent supplier of powerful warships to the Republic during the Clone Wars. Its secret development subsidiary, Rothana Heavy Engineering, had clandestinely constructed the first generation of military hardware for the Grand Army of the Republic. When that army was publicly revealed during the Battle of Geonosis, Kuati executives were quick to downplay Rothana's name, crediting the whole venture to the foresight and inventiveness of the parent company's leadership. A media saturation campaign crediting Republic victories to the ships of Kuat Drive Yards helped spread this message across the galaxy.

The Venator-class Star Destroyer was one of several wedge-ship designs to come out of the development think-tank led by engineer Lira Blissex. At over a kilometer in length, it was big and powerful enough to tangle with the Separatist fleets, but it was also quite fast. Its huge reactor-powered sublight engines afforded the Venator-class Star Destroyer respectable speed, enabling it to chase down blockade runners and smaller combat vessels.

Its surface was dotted with eight heavy turbolasers, two medium dual turbolaser cannons, 52 point-defense laser cannons, four proton torpedo tubes and six tractor beam projectors. In a creative move, some captains would use carried SPHA-T walkers to fire out of the ventral docking bay, supplementing the ship's considerable firepower without taxing its energy reserves.

Though it was capable of making planetary landings, this versatile Star Destroyer was used mostly as a spacebound fighting ship. This meant its hangars were stocked with starfighters rather than ground craft. Its standard complement included 192 V-19 Torrent or V-wing fighters, 192 Jedi starfighters, 36 ARC-170 fighters, and 20 LAAT/I gunships.

While the Venator Star Destroyer offered much for its developers to take pride in, the relentless taskmaster Blissex was not content. She had bigger plans in mind. She used her past successes to green-light the ultimate warship of her dreams, the Imperator-class Star Destroyer. Shortly after the end of the Clone Wars, the first test-bed models of this mighty warship were already functioning in classified Imperial shipyards accessible only the New Order's elite.

After Blissex's marriage to Denn Wessex, one of Palpatine's first regional governors to be installed, she used her newfound political clout to prioritize the expansion of the Star Destroyer program. From these early designs, the final Imperial-class would forever change the way order was maintained in the galaxy.

V19 Torrent

Appears in Clone Wars cartoon.

http://www.starwars.com/databank/starsh ... /eu_bg.jpg

Height:
26 meter wide, 6 meters long, 9 meters tall (in flight)
Manufacturer:
Slayn & Korpil
Type:
Republic starfighter
Weapon:
Blaster cannons, concussion missiles
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic
Associations:
V-19 Torrent starfighter

Prototypes of the Slayn and Korpil V-19 Torrent starfighter were first introduced at the Battle of Geonosis. Having proven their worth as an assault fighter with exceptional speed and maneuverability, the Republic quickly produced V-19s to add to the arsenal of the growing clone army. Because of the months of training it took for the Republic's clone trooper pilots to become proficient with the vessel, the fighter was not available in large numbers for some of the early engagements of the war, but they made a prominent showing during the Battle of Muunilinst.

Initially designed as a short-range fighter, Republic technicians later added a Class-1 hyperdrive to equip the vessel for escort missions. The ship is unique in that it has two pairs of folding airfoils that give the ship added maneuverability and provides pilots with easy access to the ship's sliding canopy. The lower split airfoils coupled with enhanced repulsorlift engines make the ship an exceptional vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fighter.

AT-AP
All Terrian - Attack Pod

http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicl ... vie_bg.jpg

Height:
10.97 meters tall
Manufacturer:
Rothana Heavy Engineering
Type:
Artillery walker
Weapon:
Heavy projectile launcher, heavy blaster cannon, medium laser cannon
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic

As the Clone Wars escalated, the Republic military built up their ground forces with newer, more versatile models of walking battlefield armor. This two-legged model, dubbed the pod attack walker, featured artillery cannons and a third retractable leg used for stability during long-range weapons firing. Clone trooper drivers piloted this walker model in such heated campaigns as those found on Kashyyyk and Felucia.

A larger iteration of the successful All Terrain Personal Transport (AT-PT), the All Terrain Attack Pod scaled up much of those systems into a two-man model. Though still too small to be deployed on its own, the AT-AP nonetheless transforms battlefield infantry into mobile medium-range artillery.

The adjustable suspension system gives the AT-AP walker stability and maneuverability over uneven terrain. The third leg lowers in the event of uneven terrain, or when the centrally fixed heavy projectile cannon fires.

The top-mounted swivel blaster has a gunner's saddle, and is best operated by a third clone trooper, seated outside the walker's armored cabin. Behind the saddle is a supply cage filled with tools to repair mechanical malfunctions within the walker's articulation assembly. Slung beneath the walker's cabin is a pivot-mounted medium laser cannon.

AT-OT
All Terrian - Open Transport

http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicl ... vie_bg.jpg

Height:

Manufacturer:
Kuat Drive Yards
Type:
Troop transport walker
Weapon:
4 laser cannons
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic, clone trooper
Associations:

clone troopers

For transport overland the Grand Army of Republic employs these open-bed cargo walkers. Though the troops are vulnerable from attacks from above, the carriage itself is lined with very thick armor, and the walker has two forward mounted laser cannons and a pair of tail cannons for defense.

Kuat Drive Yards developed the All Terrain Open Transport as a basic overland troop carrier. Though the other vehicles in their AT-series are still considered transports, they trade armor and offensive capability for troop capacity. The AT-OT, conversely, is not recommended for direct combat. Although armed, it is better suited for behind-friendly-lines battlefield replenishment. It can carry 34 clone troopers in standard configuration, but the open nature of its flatbed can allow for more troops to pile in should missions require it.

AT-RT
All Terrian - Recon Transport

[img]http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicl ... vie_bg.jpg

Height:
3.2 meters
Manufacturer:
Kuat Drive Yards
Type:
Picket and pathfinder walker
Weapon:
blaster cannon
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic, clone trooper

While clone troopers were best deployed in large numbers, articulated battlefield armor such as this Republic scout walker transformed a single clone trooper into a formidable anti-infantry unit. Designed primarily as a reconnaissance vehicle, this two-legged open-cockpit walker is nonetheless swift and heavily armed, letting a clone trooper cut through battle droids easily. It was employed in such campaigns as the Battle of Kashyyyk. It was the precursor to the All Terrain Scout Transport seen during the Galactic Civil War.

All Terrain Recon Transports (AT-RT walkers) are typically used in police support, civil defense, or after-battle mop-up missions as it is too small to pose a threat against large armored targets. Its lightweight build can outpace the AT-PT (All Terrain Personal Transport), but it lacks the armored cabin that its slower cousin has. The walker is armed with a single nose-mounted repeating laser

AT TE
All Terrian Tactical Enforcer

http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicl ... vie_bg.jpg

Height:
5.02 meters tall
Manufacturer:
Rothana Heavy Engineering
Type:
walker
Weapon:
6 anti-personnel laser cannon turrets, 1 heavy projectile cannon
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic; Galactic Empire
Associations:
Clone troopers

An intimidating armored assault vehicle, the All Terrain Tactical Enforcer (AT-TE) saw its explosive debut on the battlefields of Geonosis, at the start of the Clone Wars. Specialized Republic drop ships carried the lumbering walker craft into the thick of combat, unleashing them to crawl inexorably toward enemy fortifications.

The walker features six articulated legs for propulsion. The legs are low to the ground, which reduces the walker's top speed but does provide it with increased stability. The body of the walker consists of two armored halves connected by a flexible sleeve that increases its mobility on the field.

The front of the walker is lined with four ball-turret laser cannons, while a single heavy projectile cannon is turret-mounted on the vehicle's dorsal surface. Its rear fire arc is protected by a pair of laser cannon turrets. Though the walker's armor can easily deflect small arms fire, tanksmasher rockets can pierce an AT-TE's armor and destroy its complex propulsion mechanisms.

The base AT-TE design was originally built to help mining companies maintain order on far-flung worlds, but the design was extensively revised for combat applications.

The six legs of the AT-TE move the low-built vehicle at speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour. Contained within its armored hull are 20 clone troopers ready to disembark for combat at a moment's notice. It requires a crew of one pilot, one spotter, and four gunners or support crewmen. An additional exterior gunner controls the projectile cannon.

The walker's plodding pace allows it to penetrate energy shields, which are effective at deflecting the high-velocity repulsorlift systems of flying or hovering craft. The AT-TE's armor is supplemented by electromagnetic shielding that protects the walker from ion cannon or EMP attacks. The walker, like the rest of the clone army's heavy armor, was developed in secret at Rothana Heavy Engineering, a clandestine subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards.

BARC Speeder

Manufacturer:
Aratech
Type:
speeder bike
Weapon:
laser cannons
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic, clone troopers
Associations:

Neyo, Commander

An army is only as effective as its mobility, so the Grand Army of the Republic was outfitted with an increasingly varied and versatile vehicle pool as the Clone Wars progressed. The BARC speeder gave a single clone trooper increased operational range, great speed, mobility, and firepower otherwise unavailable to the foot soldier. A more aggressive and bulkier design than slimmer speeder bikes used by the Jedi, the BARC speeder was used in scouting and escort missions on a variety of worlds.

The BARC speeder was initially designed by the Aratech corporation for exclusive use by the ARC troopers, the elite special forces clones bred to be more deadly and independent than their standard infantry brothers. The vehicle proved so effective in reconnaissance and scouting missions that it was adopted by the rest of the Grand Army, though it still retained its original designation: Biker Advanced Recon Commando speeder.

Turbo Tank

http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicl ... vie_bg.jpg

Height:
49.4 meters long; 30.4 meters tall (with mast)
Manufacturer:
Kuat Drive Yards
Type:
Heavy assault vehicle
Weapon:
Heavy laser cannon turret, rapid repeating laser cannon, 2 medium laser cannons; 2 twin blaster cannons; 2 rocket/grenade launchers
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic, clone trooper, Galactic Empire

One of the most enormous Republic military vehicles introduced during the Clone Wars, the turbo tank is a ten-wheeled titan bristling with weapons and covered in thick armor. With a blocky design and seemingly simplistic engineering, the turbo tank epitomizes unstoppable brute force tactics favored by the clone troopers. Carried and deployed by Republic attack cruisers, the turbo tanks roll through any opposition, crushing obstacles in its path. Its varied laser turrets and missile ports can fire in all directions. The tank has two cockpits -- one at the front and one at the rear -- operated by tandem crews, allowing it to roll forward or backwards without the need to turn.

Built by Kuat Drive Yards and not it secretive subsidiary Rothana Heavy Engineering, the turbo tank was an experiment of sorts by the Republic in the hopes of better distributing military resources to its scattered worlds. As the Clone Wars quickly spread across the galaxy, KDY spearheaded the program of developing the vehicle with little government supervision, and used its distribution network to deliver the vehicle to allied planetary governments. This allowed the Republic to better equip and defend distant worlds from the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Naturally, there were some exploitable gaps in the distribution chain that led to turbo tanks falling into the hands of the enemy and criminal elements.

Affectionately nicknamed the "rolling slab" for its cumbersome, hulking profile, the HAVw A6 heavy assault vehicle is more commonly known as a Juggernaut. On ground, it can reach speeds of up to 160 kilometers per hour on even surfaces.

The 10-wheel propulsion system may seem primitive, but it does have its advantages. The direct ground contact protects the Juggernaut from electromagnetic attacks and shield discharges. Each wheel consists of three independently spinning segments that lets the Juggernaut cover most types of inhospitable terrain. Huge bump flexors provide the turbo tank with impressive suspension over uneven ground, but the lack of traction and independent drive units can leave the Juggernaut stranded if it does not have enough momentum to overcome unstable and shifting terrain types.

Though it has a tight turn radius, the Juggernaut is agonizingly slow to turn, which is why it was designed with twin cockpits. The biggest drawback to the Juggernaut is its difficult control systems. As both cockpits can control the steering systems, pilots in either station need to coordinate to keep the wheels from locking into contradictory positions.

First-generation Juggernauts require a crew of 12, excluding gunners, though automation retrofitted into later models reduced the number of crew to just two -- one for each cockpit. The cavernous interior can fit anywhere from 50 to 300 clone troopers, depending on cabin configuration and vehicle function.

From the Juggernaut's back extends a tall retractable sensor mast, in which sits a lone spotter and sensor operator. This mast provides a 360-degree field of view, feeding vital battlefield data to the tank commanders. Unfortunately, the mast is also extremely visible, and a favored target of enemy forces.

After the Clone Wars, sleeker more versatile ground assault vehicles were introduced into the armored ranks of the Imperial Army. The Juggernaut was phased out, and saw action primarily in Outer Rim campaigns. Later generation AT-AT walkers incorporated some designs elements from the older turbo tanks.

UT AT
Unstable Terrian Artillery Transport

http://www.starwars.com/databank/vehicl ... /eu_bg.jpg

Height:
23.8 meters long
Manufacturer:
KDY / Mekuun
Type:
Armored repulsorlift transport
Weapon:
Heavy laser cannon, two medium laser cannons, four anti-infantry laser turrets
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic, clone troopers

Nicknamed the "Trident" for its three forward weapons, this light transport was developed by KDY and Mekuun following a disastrous incident in the Mirgoshir campaign of the Clone Wars. The constant pounding created by thundering footfalls of Republic walkers caused the natural bridges they were traversing on Agamar to collapse, resulting in a catastrophic loss of personnel and armor.

Thus, it was deemed an armored transport was needed that could cover such terrain without accelerating the effects of a potential collapse. In an uncharacteristic move, KDY opened up their development process to Mekuun, a corporation known for developing heavy repulsorlift vehicles. The coupling of both specialties resulted in the UT-AT, a combat transport that could no longer be called a walker due to its unique design.

The heavy armored vehicle is supported by eight pairs of low-power repulsorlift skis along the rear section that constantly readjust to encountered terrain, propelled by four repulsorlift plates mounted under the forward carriage. The undulating set of 16 skid plates evenly negate the weight of the vehicle. The specially designed skids could also reverse the repulsion to form gription fields, allowing it to cling to sheer surfaces or giving the UT-AT unparalleled stability during long-range fire.

The skis also provide additional advantages on snowy or powdered terrain, particularly during horizontal strafing maneuvers. The UT-AT lacks maneuverability, however -- though the weight of the craft is cancelled out by the powerful repulsorfield, the vehicle still handles with significant inertial mass. As such, careful operators limit its top speed to 45 kilometers per hour.

The bulk of the UT-AT's internal machinery is located in the front half of the craft which also has room for up to 20 clone troopers. The cockpit holds seats a driver and one gunner (who controls the side and dorsal-mounted heavy laser cannons).

The rear half, by comparison, is empty to allow for artillery transport. It contains the gunner stations for the four laser cannons mounted overhead, and the armor plating protecting them. Some variants bolstered the craft's standard armament with bomblet generators capable of launching a storm of electrostatic and ion-charged chaos on droid armies. Other models forwent the artillery storage space and instead carried an articulated bridgelayer assembly. Clone combat engineers would blaze a stable trail over unsteady terrain and construct a makeshift bridge that would accommodate the heavier walkers further down the battle line.

Although the UT-AT proved more effective than its armored cousins in icy or shifting battlegrounds, it suffered heavy losses in the Clone Wars due to its slow speed. Because of its raised deck, a well-placed hit underneath the vehicle could send it into a somersault. UT-ATs saw heavy use during the final stages of the Clone Wars, where they were used upon bridges during such campaigns as Mygeeto and Cato Neimoidia.

For people wondering where was this seen
Think Bacara and Ki adi mundi on Mygeeto
That flat thing that the octopura droid destroyed.. thats the UT AT :D

Drop ship assault transport
Weapon:
Antipersonnel blasters, anti-vehicle laser cannon
Affiliation:
Galactic Republic, clone troopers

The sleek Republic assault gunboats, operated by a dedicated clone trooper crew, were used as patrol craft when the task force assigned to liberate Utapau turned into an occupation force.

Built by Mekuun, the High-Altitude Entry Transport HAET-221 is a drop ship used by the Army of the Republic. Launched from low orbit, the craft is capable of entering the atmosphere, burning through its high-energy shielding system as it sheds off reentry heat. Upon reaching the lower atmosphere, its repulsorlift units kick in, providing it impressive flight capability, but the craft cannot re-achieve orbital flight ceilings.

Powerful positional rockets help the HAET-221 reach its target drop site, as does a sophisticated targeting array that quickly maps a planet's topographical features. This mapping system also serves in reconnaissance and search missions, which the HAET-221 can perform at varying heights -- from lofty flight ceilings of several kilometers to a more common cruising height of just a few meters.

The speeder is armed with antipersonnel blasters and a main anti-vehicle gun

Rugged, combat-equipped repulsorcraft, Republic attack gunships rained down blistering barrages of laser and rocket retribution against the droid forces of the Separatists. Each winged gunship was covered in weapons, offering air-to-ground and air-to-air support as well as serving as an infantry transport.

The front of the gunship features hunchback-style cockpit bubbles, wherein the gunship pilot and copilot / gunner sit in single file. Chin-mounted on the craft are a pair of laser cannon turrets. On the gunship's dorsal surface are its primary armaments, two massive rocket launchers fed by a rear-mounted missile belts. The vessel's splayed wings have a pair of automated bubble-turrets, with composite-beam laser weaponry. A second pair of bubble-turret cannons extends on articulated arms from the troop cabin, and are gunner-operated by clone troopers encased within the armored spheres. Air-to-air rockets are slung on the ventral surface of each wing. Rounding out the gunship's armaments is a single tail-cannon that provides covering fire for troops and small vehicles leaving the gunship.

A larger variant of the gunship is specially designed to airdrop heavy cargo, such as the Republic's AT-TE combat walkers.

Developed by Rothana Heavy Engineering, a subsidiary of Kuat Drive Yards, the Republic gunship is designated an LAAT/i craft (Low-Altitude Assault Transport/infantry). Despite their heavy weapons, the gunships are still swift and maneuverable enough to avoid all but the most advanced mobile artillery. Gunships excel at troop deployment and extraction, using their weaponry to clear a landing zone (LZ) long enough for crack troops to board or disembark.

The two primary armaments are mass-driver cannons capable of propelling projectiles to hypersonic velocities. Once airborne, a rocket's internal guidance systems take over, allowing it to home in on designated targets. The gunship's belt-fed rocket launchers allow for specialized ordnance payloads for specific mission requirements. Though standard explosive yields are common, gunships have been fitted with corrosive antimatter shower warheads, radiation burst missles and EMP rockets.

The troop cabin is open to the air, allowing infantry to fire their rifles at targets, further supplementing the gunship's arsenal. The passenger section is equipped with an IM-6 battlefield medical droid and other survival gear. In the case of catastrophic damage, the entire cockpit section can eject from the rest of the craft.

The larger, cargo-carrying variant of the Republic attack gunship is designated an LAAT/c.

The Felucia Star Corps of clone troopers assigned to Aayla Secura didn't solely rely on mechanized transports to move through the exotic wilderness of their colorful battlefront. The clones also employed these native gelatinous larva-like ground beetles as mounts.

The rays that drench Felucia in golden sunlight have more intense concentrations of ultraviolet radiation than most habitable worlds. To compensate, much of Felucia's native life have developed one of two adaptations; in the case of the gelagrub, both adaptations are present in the creature's multi-stage life.

As a larvae, the large gelagrub has a semi-translucent skin that can metabolize UV-filtering chemicals from the native plant life and distribute them to subdermal ducts. As such, the gelagrubs are constantly eating, maintaining its natural sunscreen in the process. When a gelagrub pupates and emerges as a hard-shelled ground beetle, its carapace is brilliantly reflective, bouncing back the worst of the sun's rays.

Gelagrubs are most docile and easily domesticated during the larval stage, and were used by the Gossam colonists as well as clone trooper invaders as mounts.
