Not sure tis topic been discussed b4. But it goes. Why only Yoda is able to use his hands to deflect or even absorb Sith lightnings (as seen in Ep 2&3), whereas other Jedis like Windu & Obi-wan hv to use their lightsabers to do so. Is it becos Yoda's century-old force is powerful enough to use his hand?

i remember reading from somewhere (don't quote me on this i might be wrong) that yoda studied about the dark side powers to learn how to combat against them (from the sith holocrons that the jedi kept in their libraries) i guess if you have 800 years to spare you too would learn alot of things about the force

Since Anakin's midicholin (spelling may be wrong) counts is higher than Yoda, may be Anakin can deflect Sith lightnings with his hands too ...

Or perhaps Yoda's skin has reflective qualities??

I would be interested in coming across stories that describe Yoda's adventures and his own learning process to become a Jedi.
