ROTS or Kong for best SFX?

Yeah we know who won. But in yer opinion, was it justified?

I'd say from what I've seen, ROTS is better... then again, I have seen ROTS a good number of times from beginning to ending... whereas Kong I only know from briefly catching the trailer from time to time.

At the very least...Sith won Best Visual Effects at the Australlian Effects and Animation Festival, and the Golden Satellite Awards. There are people who recognises Sith's superb CGI quality after all...heheh

I recently watched King Kong & Narnia again on dvd, and between kong, aslan & yoda i honestly say, without prejudice, that kong lacks a lot of realism. There's not enough weight (considering his size) & depth of facial expression (esp during the emotional parts).
I also found out that unlike ILM, whose main CGI characters are fully animated, Weta still relies on the use of MoCap (motion capture) where a stand-in actor in bluesuit has markers near his joints to record his movements.

seriously i dun like the part abt the tall tower in KONG movie. It's too fake... they could do better.
