ESB is the toughest film to make. The Hoth battle scene was made in Norway under severe weather conditions. The entire Dagobah scene was constructed in a London studio. Yoda first appeared in ESB as a puppet and this puppet remains the best depiction of the grand jedi master. Other iconic stuff incl...

That's what I thought but after Dark Force Rising whereby the Emperor still lives as described below, Luke has to be his apprentice to defeat him from inside (which a jedi holocron that Leia found told her to advise her brother not to as previous jedis had tried & failed aka Ulic Qel Droma). After ...

of cos, there is a difference between DVD and Blu-ray IF the source is already digitally captured and of certain high quality (especially the recent movies). Blu-ray would certainly enhance the quality. however, for movies that were filmed in the 1970s, masteryoyo is not sure if Blu-ray can 'further...

pardon yoyo's ignorance. blu-ray is a form of storage format. if the original trilogy are not captured digitally and need to be digitally re-mastered, then would the storage format be limited by the initial quality of the film? In short, is source is so-so, then the storage would also be so-so. SO w...

Had just bought the 66364 'Superpack 3 in 1' at Raffles City Robinsons at $69. The superpack consists of 7749 Echo Base, 8083 Rebel Trooper Battle Pack and 8084 Snowtrooper Battle Pack. In fact, this is masteryoyo's first foray into Lego sw. Masteryoyo agrees that TLG is overpriced and would not hav...

Finally bought the snowspeeder with a 20% discount at BHG Bugis recently. Agree with Valentin that this is a swoosh-able vehicle that can add a high degree of realism to your re-enactment of the Hoth battle scene. Once again, another FANtastic review by Valentin. :D

More post-tsunami stories to warm our hearts as related by the Japanese: 1) Last night when I was walking home (since all traffic had stopped), I saw an old lady at a bakery shop. It was totally past their closing time, but she was giving out free bread . Even at times like this, people were trying ...

Japanese tsunami 2011: Lesson for Singapore scalpers

A story told to masteryoyo: After the recent tsunami hit Japan, water and food supplies were running out in many small towns and villages. A man visited the local supermarket to stock-up on supplies. There were only 10 bottles of mineral water left on the shelf. The man ONLY bought 5 bottles and ott...

all thanks to Valentin's excellent review... masteryoyo bought a swamp speeder at 39.90 at OG Albert today. Now that yoyo is an owner, here's yoyo's opinion: sculpt-wise, the swamp speeder is definitely one of, if not, the best vehicle of this mid-range class. Very detailed design and well-structure...
